Account Deletion

Your data is yours. If you no longer want to use VA Claims Made Easy, you can request deletion of your account at any time — even without signing in. We use email verification to make sure the request really comes from you.

Enter the email associated with your VA Claims Made Easy account. We'll send a confirmation link to verify the request before anything is deleted.

Confirmation email
If the email matches an account on file, we send a verification link to that inbox. The link is valid for 24 hours.

You confirm the request
Click the link in the email. That step proves you control the inbox and authorizes the deletion request.

Admin review
Our team reviews the request to make sure nothing is in an unsafe state (e.g., a pending VA submission you may want to finish first).

Final deletion email
Once your account is deleted, you'll receive a final confirmation email. This usually completes within a few business days.
Note: this page only starts the request. Your account isn't deleted until you click the verification link AND our team finalizes the deletion.

When your deletion is finalized, the following are removed from our active systems:

  • Your account profile, login credentials, and preferences
  • Documents you uploaded (service records, medical records, supporting evidence)
  • Drafts, personal statements, and claim-related content prepared for you
  • Messages between you and our team and AI chatbot
  • AI-generated condition suggestions and rating estimates tied to your account

A small amount of information may be retained where the law requires it — for example, payment and tax records, fraud-prevention logs, or records subject to legal hold. Where we keep this information, it is segregated, access-restricted, and used only for the legal purpose that requires it. See our Privacy Policy for full retention details.

If you're not sure deletion is the right step, here are lighter alternatives:

  • Pause your subscription instead of deleting your account.
  • Export a copy of your claim documents before deleting (contact support to request).
  • Ask support to help with whatever issue is making you consider leaving — we'd like the chance to help.
If you have an active VA claim in progress and you delete now, you'll lose access to your drafts and uploaded records here. You can still proceed with your claim through VA.gov directly.

Deletion is permanent. To protect veterans from someone else requesting deletion of their account, we never act on a deletion request until the verification link sent to the account email is clicked. Only the real owner of that inbox can complete the request.

If you no longer have access to the email on file, please contact support at tech@vaclaimsmadeasy.com — we can help verify your identity through an alternate path.

If you don't receive a verification email within a few minutes, check your spam folder first. If it still isn't there, the email you submitted may not match an account on record. You can re-submit with a different email or contact support.
